Introduction to Bioinformatics Training Workshop

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The Introduction to Bioinformatics Training Workshop is an introduction to the basic concepts, principles and skills needed for researchers to handle and analyze sequence-based biological information. Participants will familiarize themselves with the navigation of bioinformatics-related websites (biological databases, genome browsers, sequence analysis sites). In addition, practical use of web-based and open source software for bioinformatics analysis like sequence characterization, sequence alignment and primer design will be discussed.
